It is with great sadness, that today, Pink Floyd keyboardist, Richard Wright, died from cancer today at 65. The Floyd was one of the greatest, and at least for me, one of the most ninfluential bands ever. There work in the late sixties and early seventies were especially amazing, creating such works as Echoes, Careful With that Axe, Eugene and of course Dark Side Of The Moon. On that album no one should watch The Wizard Of Oz and drink Whiskey.
So Mr. Wright, thank you for the great musical legacy, enjoy your gig in the sky.

A Seven Samurai Remake???
All I can say is are you fucking kidding me. Please understand, I know that it has been made into a fine western(Magnificent Seven, of which I am somehow related to Eli Wallach) and not so fine a western with Bruce Willis. But do we really need a white man remaking one of the greatest movies ever made? A movie set in feudel Japan, by whitey??
For fuck sakes Hollywood, I understand that money speaks but are you so burnt out that there are NO NEW IDEAS??? A little movie called Hatchet came out last year, no CGI, and original. It is an homage to the great 80's slasher films but it took it to a new level in terms of gore, violence and body count. (Spoiler Ahead) THEY KILLED EVERYONE. What a welcome ending, I actually stood up and applauded when that happened. It was fun, it was original and it was unexpected. Of course Hatchet got a very limited release and can only be found on DVD now but it is a joyous occasion.
But I digress... please you fat fuckers in hollywood, use your minds again, be original, take some chances, you might not look so good all the time but you'll eventually look like white gold. Remember, The Big Lebowski bombed at the box office.
And a quick hail to the New York Football Giants! 1-0, not pretty but effective

It's not in Hindi!!
Sorry to my one fan, it's been quite a while but all of my post have only been typing up in Hindi. Not really a language I read or speak. But my 31 years have finally paid off and I have fixed the problem. Now, if I could only get healthy...

Well here you go...
A few things about me, I am not a writer. I am a chef. I am angry for no reason, but my friends can attest that I can fly off tha handle over the smallest thing. This is attempt to correct all that.
I assume that this blog will focus mostly on horror but it will also hit on anything that interests me, Cooking, Metal, what have you...And here you go...
A little about the so called "torture porn" genre. I just finished watching Hostel. Now I can understand the "porn" part, there is an incredible amount of nudity by some very good looking eastern Europeans. So that was greatly appreciated. The last 20 minutes are very violent but porn and torture? Not so much. I assumed that there would be close ups of aputations, teeth getting pulled out, fingers being cut off(ok that happened). The term pornography to me means total exploitation, something where nothing is sacred. Hostel had none of that. Granted that some Japanese girl had her eye drilled out and hanging(not shown) and the "hero" cut it off(shown and the best part of the movie), but how can this country freak out so much over this. We are currently involved in two wars, only one of which is justified and that gets little to nothing in terms of press coverage. Compared to Italian horror from the 70's this is Spongebob, a very well made movie but very weak on the gore. Movies like "Suspiria", "Zombie" "Cannibal Holocaust" and even "Dawn Of The Dead" have been released here that have been far more gory. So what the fuck is this torture porn shit coming from? Goddamn conservatives is where.
When i was a kid I caught "Friday the 13th" on cable in 3rd grade. Same with the "Exorcist" which I proudly told my family I would be watching that night. Did it scare me? Fuck yes, didn't sleep for days. Was I upset, hell no. I saw the holy grail of horror, "Night of the Living Dead" in 8th grade, I kept on waking up at night for a week seeing the first zombie in the movie after he killed johnny getting up to eat me, you know what I thought, holy fuck this movie rules to have scared me so much. We need to not be so scared of cinema and get scared of reality... war, poverty, and genocide.
So there you have it, get ready for more anger and please comment if you would like. This is America, unlike most, I won't be offended.
